6 podcasts I'm loving right now

Podcasts are such an easy and fun way to learn something new, have a little laugh and get your brain ticking. Here are my 6 favourites right now...

Deliciously Ella

This is my all time favourite at the moment because I'm really trying to nurture my body and mind, and make that a commitment. I've followed Ella for years, but I fell out of her content just because it was damaging for me at the time. I treated her food philosophy as a form of restriction rather than nutrition. But I've got a fresh perspective and I'm now able to consume her content in a healthier way.

After being diagnosed with a health condition and trying medication to manage it with little success, Ella then changed her diet which completely transformed her life. Since then, she has her own deli, website and cook-book to help others uncover the magic of whole foods. She has taught me so much about nutrition and eating for mental health. I'm trying to make my meals from scratch with nutritious ingredients and it has massively improved my mood and overall health.

It's not always about your body either. Ella discusses brain health, mental health and self-love with professionals so I completely trust what they're saying. There are 6 series so plenty to go through and choose what you need to hear. If you're looking for ways to improve your life, Ella is 100% my idol.

Food for Thought by Rhiannon Lambert

This is fairly similar to Ella's podcast, but Rhiannon is a nutritionist so she has a little more insight and focus on the body. She specialises in not only weight loss for health, but disordered eating and pre and post-natal nutrition.

It's extremely evidence based so sometimes the episodes aren't up my street purely because I don't want to or need to, listen about weight loss.

But Rhiannon speaks to some really interesting people and covers a lot of worthwhile topics if you're wanting to learn more about your body's health.

Directionally Challenged with Candice King and Kayla Ewell

I listened to the first episode purely because Candice and Kayla played Caroline and Vicki in The Vampire Diaries and I'm obsessed. But their discussions really resonated with me. Despite that their audience is mainly 30 year old women, it was so reassuring to hear that even 30 year olds don't have their life together.

Candice and Kayla basically ask questions that other 30 year old women might like to know. Each episode discusses a new book, tv show, podcast or product etc with their maker. A lot of the discussions are things that I have never really considered because I'm not in that stage of my life yet, so it's super educational in that sense.

The Mindful Kind by Rachael Kable

This was the first podcast I ever subscribed to. I am a huge lover of practicing kindfulness (mindful kindness) and for me, this podcast is the most effective way to implement mindfulness into my day because they're only 10 minutes long.

Rachael is counsellor and coach who wants to empower and encourage people to lead mindful lives in a modern world consumed by stress.

The topics are super unique and so many of them are about things I didn't even realise I needed. The most recent episode is about processing anger by identifying and validating that emotion, which is something I would never have considered myself.

Every single one of the episodes has taught me something or impacted me positively in some way. They give me something to consider or a mindful practice to try!

Conversations of Inspiration by Holly Tucker

The founder of Notonthehighstreet Holly Tucker, is committed to empowering small creative businesses, so she speaks to founders and entrepreneurs each week to share their story and inspire us.

Holly has spoken to some of my favourite brands and founders like Lucy & Yak, Asma Khan and Fearne Cotton. I love getting to know the personal story behind the brand because so often, we don't spend time researching where we are buying from.

You will also feel super inspired and I often feel motivated to carry on chasing my dreams.

P.s. Creating a Cult Brand with a Conscience with the founders of Lucy & Yak is THE best episode.

Saturn Returns with Caggie

I am an original season one Made in Chelsea fan, and Caggie remains my absolute favourite! Her podcast aims to bring a little bit of clarity into our life using astrology particularly 'Saturn returns' which is the astrological transit that occurs when Saturn returns to the same place as the moment you were born. It essentially happens every 30-ish years, and Caggie believes that a massive shift happens in your life and she wants to chat about that process.

I've always seen Caggie as a kindred spirit in that she's into mindfulness, astronomy and spirituality! All of the wonderful women that join her on this podcast talk about issues that really resonate with me and if you're interested in self-discovery and spirituality then this is a podcast for you!

Hope you enjoy one of my recommendations - let me know if you listen to one and what you thought of it!
